Iranian Governemnt’s AI Play for Lawmaking

When you think of Artificial Intelligence, Iran probably is not the first country that comes to your mind. Even so, they just might be one of the first to do something quite striking for the industry in terms of applying its tech at a wide scale.

According to Iran’s online international newspaper called “The Tehran Times,” the country plans to use Artificial Intelligence systems “in legislation,” which seems to mean that it will apply their current capabilities to take in large amounts of data and analyze it, much faster than humans, to help create laws.

In connection with this, a representative from the Iranian government has confirmed that AI systems will be used, on some level, to solve problems related to existing and future legislation. For now, we remain in the dark as to what these issues might be.

Stay tuned as we also follow this interesting development, which also comes in the face of Iran dealing with the crippling inflation of its currency.
